"Compulsión, retención, pulsación. Insociabilidad, nerviosiedad, ansiedad ..." J. M. Paris
Para el día siguiente de la grabación del tema "Why?", le piden a Paris si tiene algún tema propio que pueda encajar con el repertorio de Máquina!. París trae "I Believe". Les orienta un poco sobre la base a seguir y él va improvisando con la guitarra durante cuatro minutos. Otra joya.
Todo el disco "WHY?" en sí es una obra básica del progresismo español, una imparable borrachera de Hammond, de distorsiones guitarreras, de psicodelia, de frenética batería, de efectos fuzz , de wahwah. Un derroche de rock progresívo posthippie.

En Agosto de 1969 aparece el primer y exitoso single de MAQUINA!, con "Lands of perfection" y "Let get smashed". Fábregas comentó más tarde que la promoción de este primer disco le había costado un millón de pesetas de la época. Mucho dinero, no sabemos si exageró algo esa cantidad, pero no hay duda de que puso todo de su parte para que hubiera una promoción importante. Y la hubo.

La integración del nuevo guitarra París en el grupo se produce casi sin presentación previa. Quedan un día en el estudio y se ponen a tocar prácticamente sin haber hecho nada juntos. De esa sesión surge el tema Why?, grabado de una tirada, resultado de una improvisación absoluta. "Una cosa nunca vista, mágica, increible, el sueño de un músico, tocar como le apetezca, fuera de normas y que suene bien" recuerda de aquella memorable sesión un músico tan experimentado como Paris.
Son casi veinticinco minutos de enrolle musical que no caben en una cara de Long-Play y se ha de partir. En un momento de la grabación se miran como dando por hecho que se está acabando pero luego resurge la inspiración y vuelven a arrancarlo.
Tapi declaraba en la revista Ruta 66 de Enero de 1991: " ... (Why?) surgió de una grabación espontánea. Nos pusimos a tocar y acabamos al cabo de 20 minutos. A los técnicos les preocupaba que pusiéramos el volumen muy alto pero siempre conseguíamos acabar con los Marshall a toda leche. Las sesiones empezaban a las 12 de la noche y se prolongaban hasta las 10 de la mañana. El whisky corría en abundancia y los productores nunca pasaban por el estudio. Pensaban que estábamos sonados y que era mejor dejarnos a nuestro aire. Luego lo escuchaban y decidían si se editaba o no".
Todo este largo tema en sí es una obra básica del progresismo español, una imparable borrachera de Hammond, de distorsiones guitarreras, de psicodelia, de frenética batería, de efectos fuzz , de wah-wah. Un derroche de rock progresívo posthippie.

Pink Floyd - The Wall - De Alan Parker (1982)
The Wall se filmó en 1982 por la Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer bajo el título de Pink Floyd: The Wall, con Alan Parker como director y Bob Geldof (el líder de los Boomtown Rats) como "Pink". También participaron en escenas Bob Hoskins y la joven Joanne Whalley. La película es prácticamente el álbum llevado al cine, sólo con algunas modificaciones y con unas sorprendentes escenas de animación a cargo de Gerald Scarfe.
